Halp!

Okay, so a couple months ago I shared with you all of my pictures that I loved from our day after shoot. Well I have a Groupon for a Wrapped Canvas (16x20) that expires in a week or two and I need to get that thing used before I can't use it. My photog also said she would do any photoshopping or editing I wanted to the picture I wanted to use for the canvas as well... this is where y'all come in - I CAN'T DECIDE WHICH ONE TO USE!

Keep in mind, I didn't want anything TOO close up since it's a large print and I didn't choose any that seemed to "silly" as well.

I actually had about a top 10, I am listing #4 because that was a few peoples favorites but not mine (I would prefer us both to be looking at the camera)... unfortunately a lot I really like I feel are just too close for such a large print and/or didn't have the dress or bouquet in it.

So I really have always been a big fan of the one with the ferris wheel in the background with us on the beach, but I'm not looking anywhere near the camera. I'm thinking option 1 or 2.

Biggest Loser Update: The On-Camera Interview

What a day yesterday! All day I was freakin' out... my fabulous Twitter peeps and Facebook friends were good at trying to keep me cool and it lasted until my mom and I were on our way down to the production studio. I felt like there will little babies wearing golf shoes kicking my stomach. I was dying. I popped a Xanax which I take on days where I need one (i.e. the day before and of my wedding - life saver!) and that made me feel a ton better.

We walked in and I felt so cool. The parking lot was filled with Mazarati's and Range Rover's and I felt at home. Okay not really, but we checked in at the front desk and sat in the waiting area flipping through a magazine while I listened to my mom act disgusted with an article she was reading about Russell Brand.

Finally, some hot guy came walking out and walked over to us. He was super nice and made my mom and I feel totally comfortable instantly. He walked us by some offices and boxes and boxes... and boxes that were filled with thoussannnnds of applications that had came in for Biggest Loser. He said that was hardly the start of it. It's crazy how much goes into casting for these shows and it made me feel so lucky we have gotten as far as we have when there are people all over America trying to do the very same thing I am.

We went into a small room that just had a couch with a back drop and then a chair with a camera on a tripod. My new BFF for the next hour or so, Brandon, started flipping through our applications and pictures that we had brought. We then just started some small talk which I'm sure was to get us a little more relaxed and comfortable. Honestly, the second I sat on the couch I felt nothing. I was so cool and collected and I felt like I was just chillin' with my mom and an old friend. He said we didn't have to look at the camera at all which was good because that alone takes some stress off. He said it wasn't like a formal interview with questions but he would shoot some random stuff at us from our application and we basically had an hour long conversation that all just rolled off of each other. My mom and I never felt like we were at a lost for words or didn't have a good answer to a question it all just seemed so natural. I guess I am a natural at being a celebrity... you know what that's like right KJ??

Once the hour was up he took a few pictures of us as well as giving us basically what the remaining steps will be in the process. Basically we are at the end of the process and everything is all going to start happening really fast if it happens for us. Our hour video will be going in for editing this week and will be getting sent into the network. If they love us (which they must! *crosses fingers*), we will be getting a call ON Wednesday that they want us about another week later to head to location where us and usually an average of maybe 30 other couples will go do physicals, psych evals, and meet all of the Executive Producers. If all goes well there basically a week or so later we head to the ranch in Malibu where we will then begin to get our asses kicked by the infamous Bob & Jillian.

Long story short if this last step goes as planned I will be disappearing from the bloggity world for a few months to change my life! Give me one more week and you will have another update from me! Keep me in your prayers folks, this has been an awesome journey that I can only hope we get to complete.

We're Those People

So when I moved out for the very first time into my first apartment I missed having a dog. I had a dog my whole life so when I didn't have one I was so bummed... so I started hitting up Craig's List and the shelters...

Meet Bentley. I rescued him from his third family... when I got him he was like any other Chihuahua... freakin' out all the time because he had a tough life and he had that chihuahua gene in him.

After living with me and my roommate and becoming my little sidekick for a couple years he turned into a pretty awesome pooch. Due to some other issues (like my roommate and boyfriend at the time hooking up behind my back) I moved back home and B-dawg came with me.

My grams was in love. Like hardcore in love and they were now the ones who were inseperable. She loved him... and the day I bought my house there was no way I could take him with me. So I gave up Bentley and he stayed with my parents and grandma. During the past few years my mom has wanted nothing more then Bentley to be a dog that was a little more kick back... I tried the purse thing with him and he wasn't having that... but he loves to be held. My mom thought for sure he would go for this swing feature but no go.

So it got passed on to us...


And of course... Dakota loved it. Seriously, this thing was not made for a 30 pound dog. And the sling wouldn't even stay on my shoulder... it got all bunched up and was about to cut open my neck. Nonetheless it was hilarious. Do you see how I'm trying to brace myself? I was trying to put some of her weight on my hip but she was loving life.

So yes, my family is those people that dress up their dogs and attempt to put them in pouches, satchels, and such as well.

30DBJ: Day 30 (We're Done!)

A Dream for the Future

This is it... I made it to Day 30. I'm so proud of myself! Up until Saturday (Day 28) I didn't forget to post ONE TIME. But at least I made up for all of them today so I could still complete my 30 Day Blog Journal in the set 30 days. Seriously thought I was going to quit by day 5.

So for my last day I'm supposed to let you know my dream for the future... of course I want to be successfull, have a family, blah blah the usual. But my biggest passion has always been in Entrepreneurship. Although once we decide to start a family I would want nothing more then to be a SAHM, I still have that entrepreneur spirit. Whether it's something I can do from home or whatever, I just hope that one day I can say "This is it, I did this." and I will have nobody to answer to but myself... oh and probably my husband.

What's your biggest dream for the future that isn't the typical "be successful and start a family" type dreams?

30DBJ: Day 29

Hopes, Dreams, and Plans for the next 365 Days

I have a few biggies.

If I was to go on the Biggest Loser which is my biggest hope, dream, and plan then that would solve a lot of my big issues like being over weight. If that's all good then we can decide when we start having a family which I think we would then maybe start trying in a year or so. We also set a goal for ourselves a couple of months ago to have a down payment for a new house by Memorial Day -- obviously Biggest Loser could help out with that big time. And when all is said and done I hope that by the end of the year I can nail myself a new job where I actually feel like I can grow and enjoy --- something that doesn't make me want to only blog, tweet, and stalk all day long.

Basically, I want to get skinny and get a job to help us get the house that will be good for a family and because I'm skinny and healthy I can then start planning to have that family in the house we wanted for it. Make sense? :)

What is everything in my purse?

My purse is so embarassing. Haha... it's a total mess! And about 90% of it's contents are far from needed. Here is what my purse looks like:


I hate digging through my purse and I hate when it gets like this, I just haven't switched purses lately like I used to. Didn't think that looked TOO bad? Here's a better breakdown...


Wallet... Checkbook... Keys... Aviator Glasses... Notepad from the Marriott... Camera... Camera Case (not being used for whatever reason lol)... handheld video cam... two packs of gum... lots of mail, email, and coupons that are printed out... pen from New York, New York Vegas and the Marriott... lip plumper... Burt's Bees... Blistex Chap Stick... regular classic Chap Stick... Lady Gaga Edition Mac Lipstick... OPI nail polish... mini hand sanitizer... Coach glasses case... a wine cork (don't ask)... a think of matches... a pair of glasses missing an arm... the arm to the glasses... my Coach glasses missing a lens... the lens to my Coach glasses...

I think I have enough lip products and sunglasses don't you think? Too bad none of my eye wear is wearable pretty much haha

30DBJ: Day 27

My Worst Habit

Me? Have a bad habit? Never! Okay, I'm sure there may be tons... it's tough. When I was younger I used to bite my nails but I kinda got rid of that habit somewhat but now that I've had fake nails for as long as I can remember I'm not sure if I would still bite my nails or not.

Probably one of my other ones is me always having to give my opinion... I'm very outspoken and feel the need to give you my thoughts when you really didn't ask for it. I also always have to have the last word in.

And probably one that is really rude and I know pisses off people and it bugs me too is not being able to put my cell phone down. I try not to have it out at restaurants and things like that but it's always out and sitting next to me like I'm a freakin' Kardashian sister. I just never can seem to be without it. If I'm watching TV, hanging out with friends, etc. it just always seems to have me checking it and tweeting something or who knows what.

What are some of your worst habits?

To Quit or Not to Quit, That is the Question

So I could be totally putting the cart before the horse here but I can't help but think about it. If I get this Biggest Loser opportunity there is a HUGE chance I will lose my job. Although my office would be completely lost without me... someone, at some point, would be able to replace me. I know there is a temp pool here on campus but I feel like they will just want to give me the shaft if I tell them "Oh I need to leave for 3 or so months". I work for the state, and with the current condition of California it would be so easy to probably just give me the shaft and then bring some one in for a lot less pay. I mean who knows?

I was researching the whole "Leave of Absence" policies on our HR website and of course none of the excused reasons were "Reality Television" LOL I just have no clue how I am going to approach HR or my boss or anyone once it comes down to it. Although I know in my heart I'm doing this for all of the right reasons --- like losing weight for my health, I am looking at it from an outsiders perspective and they might just see it as --- oh nice, this girl thinks we are going to give her a three month vacation for a game show on reality TV.

So when I get hit with this question...

JOB or BIGGEST LOSER???

What am I going to say.

Well first thing when I brought this up to the Hubs he didn't even hesitate. "You have to go on the Biggest Loser" -- and I think I 100% agree. This isn't just to go on the Real World or Bachelorette or something... this is a huge opportunity on so many levels. And if this really works out for me there will be so many doors that could open up even more possibilities who knows.

So that's the thing... if they don't want to save a job for me, then oh well. If I get offered to be on the show, I'm taking it. It's great to know I have a husband that supports me and agrees with me 110%.

What would you do? Let me know if you have any advice or perspective you have on it.

Your week so far in detail...

Honestly I can't do what I did yesterday... that was exhausting thinking about my day... from Monday to today it's been all of one thing.

Wake up.
Get ready.
Go to work.
Take a lunch.
Work some more.
Drive home.
Have dinner with my hubs.
Watch TiVo (maybe a little cleaning).
Go to bed.

That's pretty much it... although tonight we will be doing our weekly "Thursday Night Bites" which is our Thursday night date night where we go to the featured food truck that week and grab a new cupcake at our local cupcakery!
